Proposed Balaka Improved Cook Stove Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Project

The Environmental Affairs Department, which is the Designated National Authority (DNA) for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), in the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Management, has received Project Design Documents (PDD) from Alchemy Carbon Ltd in collaboration with Chinansi Foundation for Balaka Improved Cook Stove Project. The Project is proposed to be implemented as part of the Small Scale Programme of Activities (SSC-PoA) for the Efficient Cook Stove Programme in Malawi. The proponents are requesting for a Letter of Approval from the DNA to proceed with the activity. In accordance with the approval procedure, the PDD now available for comments. The documents are available for download below.
